Bicyclist hit, killed by freight train

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX/Gray News) — A man riding a bike was hit and killed by a train while trying to cross the tracks in front of it, according to police.The Biloxi Police Department reported the man was hit and killed by a freight train at about 8 a.m. Tuesday on the tracks near Eisenhower Drive.According to police, the man was trying to beat the train when he was hit.Traffic in the area was diverted, but the scene was cleared before 10 a.m.Further information, including the victim’s identity, has not been released.
