A fire broke out in vegetation and trees Tuesday morning in Summerland, halting trains and slowing traffic on Highway 101. The fire in the treetop caused a spectacle, visible from Padaro Lane and both sides of the highway. Crews quickly put the blaze out and no one was injured, but a cat was found in the burn area. Crews rush it to Santa Barbara County Animal Control for treatment, said Mike LoMonaco, fire marshal. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
