2.3 million bottles of sour children’s candy sold at Walmart recalled. Here’s why

(Gray Media) – The Ricky Joy company has recalled more than 2.3 million bottles of Sour Crush rolling liquid candy because the applicator can pose a choking hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.The recalled product uses a rolling ball to dispense liquid candy, similar to roll-on lip gloss. The ball can detach from the packaging and become a choking hazard. The candy itself is not affected by the recall, but the company encourages consumers to stop using the product.No injuries have been reported.The candy bottles were sold at national retailers such as H-E-B and Walmart.com from January 2023 through May 2026 for about $3 per bottle and between $13 and $32 per pack.Ricky Joy is providing refunds for the product. Consumers will be provided with a prepaid shipping label to return the candy.
